As Vice President, Director of Operations Management for KMEA, Jennifer Salinas, PSP, STS-C is responsible for creating and managing systems and policies that result in the highest level of safety, quality, customer satisfaction and efficiency.
Jennifer has more than 25 years of experience focused on program and project management, operational management, project controls, accounting, business development, and software system integrations. She spent the last 18 years with AECOM on a blend of projects in varying project lifecycle stages; with heavy emphasis on master planning, engineering, and active construction.
Areas of expertise include but are not limited to; operational management, software system(s) implementations, project planning and scheduling, progress analysis, project budgeting and forecasting, cost and schedule controls and analysis, change order management, earned value management, risk management, procurement and contract negotiations, financial reporting, development of project execution procedure and policies, and training. Over the past 12 years’ Jennifer has taken an active role in mentoring new project controls talent to the industry and developing training and workshops for scheduling, cost, project management topics and professional certifications.
She is an accomplished program and project manager having spent most of her career working on large, complex multi-billion-dollar programs in the public and private sector, education, parks & recreation, maritime, energy, and oil and gas industries. She is an accomplished project controls analyst and manager who has proven her ability to identify root cause issues and mitigation measures, author detailed project management and controls processes, developed standard templates with comprehensive process workflows, perform in depth senior level reviews and analyses, effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders, encourage collaboration and cohesive teamwork across multiple departments, and provide consistency in meeting client deliverables ensuring they have timely and accurate information to assist them in making informed comprehensive decisions.
She excels at providing continuous collaboration between all departments for smooth operational management, leading by example to ensure project execution procedures are followed, proper audit documentation is maintained, and reporting is accurate. Externally she ensures there are open lines of communication with each Client, providing transparency in project execution and progress reporting.
Jennifer holds the following certifications: Certified Project Manager (UCLA), Planning & Scheduling Professional (AACE #937), Safety Trained Supervisor for Construction (BCSP #STSTC-IEX09612), OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety, and ISO9002 Internal Auditor. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration - Project Management from American Intercontinental University, Illinois. Jennifer has held the following positions: President and various board member roles with the Alaska Section of the Association for Advancement in Cost Engineering (AACE), Board Member on the Construction Management Advisory Committee at the University of Anchorage Alaska (UAA), and various Executive Board Member roles on the Sulphur Springs Community School Parent Teacher Association.
