As Senior Vice President of Strategic Programs for KMEA, Spencer Patterson is responsible for leading and growing the company’s architect/engineer portfolio and capabilities in the public and private sectors.

Spencer’s experience includes 23 years as Air Force civil engineering officer, from which he retired at the rank of lieutenant colonel. During that time, he served in several base-level and headquarters assignments including two tours at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center in San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from the Air Force in 2005, he moved to the private sector managing large Department of Defense construction contracts and leading Air Force business development for two Fortune 500 companies.

A native of Buffalo, New York, Spencer holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer in the States of Florida, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas. He is a lifetime member of the Air Force Association and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers San Antonio Post.
